Meet Megan from Little Birdie Baby Boutique

I found out I had a passion for sewing when I decided to make my youngest's crib bedding.  Even though I was 6 months pregnant, huge and my back was killing me, this was my time away from everything.  It relaxed me.  I'm a SAHM.  Have been on and off for a little over 5 years.  There is only so much TV, books, internet surfing and play dates one can handle. I needed a hobby.  Something to do to keep me sane with a 5 year old, 4 year old and an infant running my life.  So, I took out my machine, bought some fabric and started making things.  I have always toyed with the idea of opening up a shop but never had the guts to do it, I was afraid of rejection (a small part of me still is)  but I knew I would never know until I tried.  So here I am, putting myself and my creations out there for everyone to, hopefully, enjoy.

Meet Megan, creator of RastaBebe.

I started RastaBebe on etsy in January 2011. I have always loved to sew and to be creative. When I had my daughter and began cloth diapering I had trouble finding tees that coordinated with her fitted diapers and knew I could create some. It has been a much-needed creative outlet for me and a fun hobby. I enjoy every step of the process from hunting for fabrics, to designing appliqués, to sewing each project. It is a labor of love for me. I am branching out to onesies and children’s tees as well. I also love doing customs! If a customer has a fabric in mind I do my very best to find it for them. I am always open to fresh ideas; in fact those have turned out to be some of my favorite projects!

Meet Emily from E. M. Wade Creations

I'm a stay at home mom to a wonderful little boy and a wife to a corrections officer and soldier.  I started my first business, One Stop Guard Shop, several years ago because I could never seem to find the exact design I wanted to show my support for my husband.  After the birth of my son last year, I started sewing again, making things for him to use.  A few months ago my mother suggested I set up a small booth at a local craft fair and from there E. M. Wade Creations was born.  I love shopping for new fabrics, pairing up ribbons for embellishing burp cloths, searching the local thrift stores for wool sweaters, and putting together one of a kind creations.  I'm currently making baby bibs, burp cloths, pacifier clips, and upcycled woolies, but I hope to branch out to other items in the future.  I am always open to new ideas and can do custom work when time allows.

Welcome to Ella's Bum!

Let me start off with an introduction.  My name is Jamie and I am the founder of Ella's Bum.  I have been cloth diapering my daughter, Ella (hence the name), since we came home from the hospital.  She is 8.5 months old now.  Oh my how time flies!  I wanted to open my own store so that I could bring all of the cloth diapering goodness to one place.  I have found that I prefer supporting the smaller, work at home mom (or WAHM) brands.  I love that I am not just another customer, but a friend.  One of the advantages of WAHM brands is specialty.  This is also a disadvantage because normally they have a limited line of products.  I want to bring the WAHM products to one site, so everyone can shop, and only pay shipping once.  I am always looking for more merchants, let me know if you are interested!
